SANDY S SANDY SANCHEZ has been a certified Jazzercise instructor since 1986.   She has owned and taught classes in Houston, TX, and Denver, Glenwood Springs and Grand Junction, CO.  Over the years, Sandy has enjoyed participating in Jazzercise NFL halftime shows, special events and international conventions.

Sandy teaches Jazzercise Lo – Dance Mixx (Monday, Wednesday, Friday).  A pulse-pounding total body workout that brings all the intensity . . . without the hop.  Use your muscles – not your momentum – to transform your body with powerful cardio mixed with strength.  Melt fat and torch up to 800 calories in an hour.  Learn how to bring the intensive to transform your body, boost your mood and ignite your energy. Jazzercise – Strength 45 (Monday, Wednesday, Friday).  Fire up your muscles with a mix of standing and chair work to target all the major muscle groups.  Weights, tubes and natural resistance engage your muscles while music distracts you from the burn.  Cross-train your body by working your core, arms, shoulders, back, legs, glutes and everything in between  Both sets of classes are performed in the Palm Ridge Activity Center – Summit Hall A & B.  Class tickets purchased for either of these classes (land classes) are interchangeable with the Jazzercise Lo – Dance Mixx classes held at RH Johnson. They are not interchangeable with Deep Water Exercise or Energy, Water & Walking (water classes) or Jazzercise PT/Core classes.

She also teaches Jazzercise PT/Core (Tuesday, Thursday).  Take your workout to the next level with a muscle-chiseling strength training workout which focuses on the core.  We zero in on key muscle groups for maximum fatigue and calorie burn.  You will sculpt your core (and your arms and legs) using mats, weights, natural resistance and other equipment including tubes and exercise balls.  This hard core it-hurts-and-it’s worth it workout will improve body awareness as well as movement and strength training techniques. Classes are performed in the Palm Ridge Activity Center – Summet Hall B.  Class tickets purchased for these classes are not interchangeable with any other classes offered by The Fitness Club, including Jazzercise Lo – Dance Mixx and Jazzercise – Strength45.

SUSAN SHEWMAKE
is a resident to Sun City West moving here in January of 2009.  Susan has been involved with Jazzercise for over 30 years.  She became a certified Jazzercise instructor 19 years ago.  She owned her own Jazzercise center in Phoenix for several years and achieved pacesetter status.  She has been involved in many Jazzercise events and special performances.

MITZI CERECEDES
and her husband, Mike, moved to Arizona in 2005.  While having taught water/land Aerobics for many years, 2 years ago she decided to do fitness full time.  Mitzi is Certified through nationally recognized AFAA, (American Fitness Aerobics Association).She teaches Aqua Aerobics (Monday, Wednesday, Friday), a high-intensity, low impact shallow water exercise program including warm-up and cool down periods with a complete aerobic segment.  Additionally, Mitzi teaches the Aqua Zumba (Saturday) class.  Traditional aqua fitness disciplines are followed to the rhythm and beat of Latin Music.  7 times the intensity due to water resistance, 2 times as many calories burned.  Both sets of classes are held in the Palm Ridge Indoor Walking Pool. Class tickets purchased for these classes (water classes) are interchangeable with Deep Water Exercise (Monday and Friday) and Energy, Water & Walking (Tuesday and Thursday) (water classes).  They are not interchangeable with any Jazzercise Lo – Dance Mixx, Jazzercise – Strength45 (land classes) or Jazzercise PT/Core classes.

SHERRY JOHNSON-TRAVER
combines low impact music, high impact routines and water to leave you sweating in unbeatable style. Deep Water Exercise (Monday and Friday) (deep water aerobics) mainly work on your “core” muscles.   The workout is designed to build strength, develop flexibility and increase endurance.  Sherry has been a nationally certified water fitness instructor since 1995.  She is certified by the Aquatic Exercise Association, and the Arthritis Foundation.  Sherry teaches the winter Deep Water Exercise class in the Beardsley Pool, and the summer Deep Water Exercise class in the R.H. Johnson Pool.   Class tickets purchased for these classes (water classes) are interchangeable with Aqua Aerobics (Monday, Wednesday, Friday) and Energy, Water & Walking (Tuesday and Thursday) (water classes).  They are not interchangeable with any Jazzercise Lo – Dance Mixx, Jazzercise – Strength45 (land classes) or Jazzercise PT/Core classes.

Is this energetic water/walking workout for you?  The class will use a combination of water aerobics and other water exercises including walking moves.  The class is designed for students who want a moderate to more intense group aquatic experience. Class tickets purchased for these classes (water classes) are interchangeable with Aqua Aerobics (Monday, Wednesday, Friday) and Deep Water Exercise (Monday and Friday) (water classes).  They are not interchangeable with any Jazzercise Lo – Dance Mixx, Jazzercise – Strength45 (land classes) or Jazzercise PT/Core classes.
