SUSAN SHEWMAKE is a resident to Sun City West moving here in January of 2009. Susan has been involved with Jazzercise for over 30 years. She became a certified Jazzercise instructor 19 years ago. She owned her own Jazzercise center in Phoenix for several years and achieved pacesetter status. She has been involved in many Jazzercise events and special performances. Susan teaches Jazzercise Lo – Dance Mixx in the R.H. Johnson – Social Hall (Monday, Wednesday and Friday) from 9:15 to 10:15 a.m. Low impact class with FUN, FUN way to workout to music. Workout at your own pace with high energy and intensity or lower intensity, you be the judge. Use your muscles to transform your body with powerful cardio mixed with strength. MITZI CERECEDES and her husband, Mike, moved to Arizona in 2005. While having taught water/land Aerobics for many years she has decided to do fitness full time. Mitzi is Certified through nationally recognized AFAA, (American Fitness Aerobics Association).She teaches H2O Fitzi with Mitzi (Monday, Wednesday, Friday), a high-intensity, low impact shallow water exercise program including warm-up and cool down periods with a complete aerobic segment. Additionally, Mitzi teaches this H2O Fitzi with Mitzi class on Saturday (first Saturday in January through last Saturday in April). SHERRY JOHNSON-TRAVER provides a total body workout while suspended in deep water with a support belt. No stress or strain on joints, while you get a total core workout – increase balance, core stability and have FUN in the process. Deep Water Exercise (Monday, Wednesday, and Friday) mainly work on your “core” muscles. Sherry has been a nationally certified water fitness instructor since 1995. She is certified by the Aquatic Exercise Association, and the Arthritis Foundation. Sherry teaches the winter Deep Water Exercise class in the Beardsley Pool, and the summer Deep Water Exercise class in the R.H. Johnson Pool. BILL BENSON teaches Water Aerobics and Fitness (Tuesday and Thursday), in the Palm Ridge Indoor Walking Pool. The Water Aerobics and Fitness class focuses on aerobics and water walking fitness drills. This vigorous workout challenges all participants from those new to aquatic exercise through trained athletes. LISA FRIEDMAN: Lisa has been a fitness instructor since 1999 teaching Pilates, step kickboxing, TRX and aqua aerobics. Lisa is also an AFAA certified personal trainer since 2001. Schulpt 45 is a 45 minute choreographed muscle class designed to strengthen and tone upper body, core, and lower body using free weights, bands, chair and standing exercises.
